Inspection, maintenance and installation
In order to guarantee the proper functioning of your safety equipment, all Category III equipment should be certified by a Notified Body and periodically examined (“the periodic frequency of inspection by a competent person shall be at least every 12 months”) as stipulated in European Standard EN 365 (“General requirements for instructions for use, maintenance, periodic examination, repair, marking and packaging”) and product standards.
Our authorised and competent inspectors can perform these periodic inspections on your behalf. Over the years we have developed a series of detailed inspection and examination protocols which are also described in our ISO-9001 Quality Assurance System.
HONOR test facilities
We have our own service department where we inspect gas, chemical and heat-resistant suits and check their gas tightness. The HONOR Service Centre has two test towers on site where fall protection equipment and rescue systems can be tested both dynamically and statically. Horizontal fall protection, such as rail, line and cable systems, is tested on our outdoor test installation, the only one of its kind in Europe. We have a special test and calibration chamber for the maintenance of gas detection equipment.
The HONOR Service Management System
Proper and accurate recording of your Personal Protective Equipment and inspection data is vitally important. Your responsibility as an employer is set out in Article 3 of the Health and Safety Act and has also been incorporated in the Netherlands Civil Code for many years (Article 7:658): “The employer shall equip and maintain the workplace and tools in such a way as to prevent injury to the employee”, while Article
162 in Book 6 of the Civil Code also applies. HONOR’s Service Management System has been developed around this legislation, and automatically records the serial numbers and other details of all items of approved safety equipment acquired by the user organisation.
On site inspection and certification
We can carry out inspections and certification in the specially designed HONOR test facilities at Almere or on your own premises, whichever suits you best. Permanently installed systems will of course be inspected on site. HONOR’s Service Department has a fully equipped service fleet and our inspectors are trained to provide you with the advice you need on the spot . On completion of the inspection you will receive a printed and/or digital certificate!
