Training

Safety is a mindset! In reality, safe working practices or the correct use of protective equipment are not simply a matter of common sense. As people carry out their work they become accustomed to a certain way of doing things, and use of the equipment required to protect people and property can be viewed as an annoying imposition.
In such circumstances regular reassessment becomes a necessity: “Are our current procedures the best for our situation? Are we using the right safety equipment in our work and are we using it correctly?” The higher the level of knowledge and understanding of these issues among management and staff, the better and safer your working methods will be.
You achieve your safety objectives, as well as a better return on your investment! HONOR offer targeted training courses, developed in house and designed to motivate employees to use their protective equipment properly by increasing their knowledge.
Targeted training
In our view, the proactive interpretation of the situation and the component tasks and a sound assessment of the appropriate equipment and materials are key success factors for optimal safety.
Over the years we have developed a series of training courses specifically covering the safety systems in our product range. Courses last from half a day upwards depending on the subject matter and the client’s needs. They are usually individually designed for a specific client.
Standard or customised
HONOR can deliver training on the client’s premises, in our own training facilities at Almere or at a recognized training institute. As well as our programme of four “standard” courses we also develop training schemes geared to the client’s specific situation or needs, including coordination between various business disciplines (safety, production, maintenance and purchasing): pre-purchase, evaluation of potential solutions, training and instruction of warehouse staff and more.
Collaboration with recognised institutes
HONOR are actively engaged with a number of recognised training agencies on the development of practically oriented training programmes dealing with a variety of specific systems.
The following courses are included in our “standard” programme:
- Gas-tight encapsulated, chemical-resistant and heat-protective suits (hazardous substances)
- Safe working at height (fall prevention and protection)
- Safe entry to and rescue from enclosed spaces
- Gas detection
